Signaling Torque Screwdrivers
Type II – is preset to a specific setpoint, triggers a tactile/audible signal when reached. The following variants can be seen:
- Signaling torque screwdrivers (aka 'click type' or 'clicker')
- Target value is pre-set
- Reaching the setpoint activates a mechanical impulse
- Application of force must be stopped by the user
- Slipping torque screwdrivers (aka 'slipper' or 'cam-over')
- Target value is pre-set
- Reaching the setpoint causes mechanical overrun/slip ('cam-over')
- Force application is suspended
