According to an investigation of the german car supervisory association DEKRA three of four torque wrenches show wrong values with the first calibration. On consequence, the mechanic believes to tighten with the correct force, whereas he possibly mounts only with less than the half required torque value. Without knowing it! Periodical calibration finds a remedy.
