Tohnichi QSPCALS Slipper Torque Wrench
Rotary Slip-type Preset Pokayoke (Error-proofing) Torque Wrench
A preset torque wrench that prevents 3 problems: under-tightening, over-tightening, and other human tightening errors. QSPCAMS and QSPCALS are rotary slip-type torque wrenches with wired limit switch. When set torque is reached, rotary slip occurs with simultaneous output of a contact signal from the limit switch.
Signals from the limit switch are captured on a programmable logic controller (PLC) or similar device to establish a Tightening Assurance System using assembly line interlock controls. The limit switch can be connected to a CNA-4mk3 count checker (sold separately) to easily create a tightening count management system.
The set torque cannot be changed without using a special tool (sold separately), preventing the operator from changing torque by mistake. QSPCAMS and QSPCALS have a highly durable curly cord. Length of standard MS/LS curly cord (when extended) ~2m.
QSPCAMS/QSPCALS conform to the IEC 61340-5-1:2007 Standard (protection of electronic devices from electrostatic phenomena).

Table showing specifications by the manufacturer. It is recommended to primarily use in medium performance range (approx. 1/3 to 4/5 of rated capacity). If you regularly worked close to the limit of load (maximum capacity), a larger model or tool might be more advisable.
MG = Knurled Metal Grip.
The QSPCAMS/QSPCALS series are compliant with ISO 6789:2017 starting January 2022.
